The following position is a part of IBM Canada’s EPIC (Employment Pathways to Interns & Co-ops) Student Program. These outstanding entry-level IT, sales, and corporate positions are limited to students registered in a Canadian University of College co-op or internship program, who have completed a minimum of 2 years of their degree or diploma program, and who will be returning to full-time study upon completion of the temporary IBM work term.
CustomPac is a worldwide application developed in Canada to assist large mainframe customers with the installation and maintenance of their operating system and IBM software products. The project control office coordinates many of the functions that need to be in place to support the application development environment.
Duties of the project officer would include statistics collection and reporting, monthly order table updates, reporting on problem management activity, web application updates using an internal tool as well as some database updates and maintenance activity.
- The ability to work well in a team environment, good written and oral communication skills as well as being self motivated are desired attributes.
- This position would allow the candidate to gain experience in working on a team in a large corporate environment.
- It would provide insight to other areas of Global Services and an opportunity to understand the opportunities available to employees of large, worldwide, multicultural companies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Students applying to this posting must be registered in a co-op or internship program for the length of the placement
- Minimum one completed work term
- This position is intended for senior-level undergraduate students who will be returning to full-time study upon completion of the internship/co-op term
- Good communication skills
- Good teaming skills
- Self starter
- Word processing skills — Word or Wordpro
- Presentation package skills — Freelance or PowerPoint
- Some spreadsheet application knowledge
- Basic knowledge of webpage design
