The following position is a part of IBM Canada’s EPIC (Employment Pathways to Interns & Co-ops) Student Program. These outstanding entry-level IT, sales, and corporate positions are limited to students registered in a Canadian University or College co-op or internship program, who have completed a minimum of 2 years of their degree or diploma program, and who will be returning to full-time study upon the completion of the temporary IBM workterm.
That role is part of WebSphere Education (WE) team, which is a training arm of the IBM Software Group WebSphere brand. WE is developing content for classroom and web based education for IT professionals (developers, administrators, etc.).
This Education Operations Coordinator will work closely with and take direction from the Engagement Manager(EM) in a supporting role focusing on administrative tasks. Areas of responsibility are as follows.
1. Author and review Statement of Work (SOW) and Purchase Order (PO)
Work directly with EM to input the SOW in biTools and/or CATS, in some cases may need to contact customer or sales team to obtain data
Follow up with contract administrator (if needed) throughout the contractual process to ensure SOW is in place for class delivery
Bring to EM’s attention if see any possible exposure
Work directly with EM to create subcontractors/vendors POs in time for deployment
2. Assist EM to track and reconcile revenue or recovery recognition for the life cycle of a contract
3. Assist EM to prepare logistics for private class delivery (i.e. order class material, prepare logistic information, etc.)
4. Focal point of contact to BTO scheduler for Public\internal classes in Canada
5. Track Canada Public\internal classes schedule
6. Prepare and maintain education delivery reports
7. Prepare monthly utilization report
8. Pull accurate data required by upper IBM management
QUALIFICATIONS:
A highly motivated and results oriented person, who is attentive to details and a fast learner. This individual also needs to be a good-team player, as well as work independently in an effective and efficient manner.
Good working knowledge and experience with Windows NT, Windows 2000/XP, Microsoft Office, Lotus SmartSuite, Adobe Acrobat, HTML, Dreamweaver, web browsers and web design/development techniques.
Good command of the English language (both oral and written).
Experience in dealing with customers.

This position is intended for senior-level undergraduate students who will be returning to full-time study upon completion of the internship/co-op term
The selected candidate for this position will be in training for approximately 2 weeks. After this time, the candidate will be held responsible for producing quality work on a timely basis.
